Amazon.com:
This compilation of music videos produced for Jimmy Buffett since the early '70s will tickle his formidable Parrothead nation while providing pop historians with a time capsule tracing the evolution of pop video clips since their pre-MTV days. Buffett himself introduces each clip, providing personal and career anecdotes as he unspools the videos in chronological order. In the process, we watch his maturation from freewheeling Florida hippie to laid-back Everyman. As presented here, you can hear how Buffett nudged his music from an identifiable branch of '70s singer-songwriter chic toward his singular amalgam of pop, country, and rock, with liberal garnishes of calypso and reggae.

For a self-professed reluctant video subject, Buffett has managed to capture a substantial cross-section of his music visually, starting with early songs like "Pencil Thin Moustache" and "Come Monday." The early clips afford glimpses of his Key West stomping grounds before that sun-baked Bohemia was transformed into a tourist trap decorated with Hemingway, tropical drinks, and, of course, Buffett himself.

Videophiles may smile at some of the clunky production values or dated period details, but Buffett's sybaritic faithful will flock to this virtual road map of their idol's particular theme park for boomer fantasies of escape. We can hear the blenders warming up already. --Sam Sutherland

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Bring it to DVD!
In the later days of VHS, this became one of my most prized treasures in that format. Unfortunately I have no VCR anymore and would do just about anything to get this on DVD - I have even considered taking it into a shop to get transferred. This video is an excellent retrospective of the history of Jimmy Buffett, and has some fantastic videos chronicling his career. A must for any Buffett fan... if you can find it, and play it!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - A very fine and imperfect Buffett video collection - just the way Jimmy likes it!
Buffett has the best crossover record (pardon
the pun[s]) than naybody this side of Webb
Wilder! These cuts are from 1971 through
the 1990's - deep in the 90's and Buffett
has worn well! Good collection but needs
to be put on DVDs w/ It's Five O'Clock
Somewhere with pal Alan Jackson...Yes -
THAT Alan Jackson.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - We need a DVD of this!!!!!!
PLEASE JIMMY RELEASE THIS AND "LIVE BY THE BAY" ON DVD SOOOOOOOOON!!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Margaritaville is never a waste.
Every long time parrothead would want to have a copy of this video. We heard all of the songs before, but we never want to miss the chance to hear them again. To the newly initiated it is a quick trip through some great musical history. It is worth a view to see the story of one of the biggest performers of our day who has had a full one and a half hits. Do not expect great production values or the slick look of VH1 or MTV videos, but watch, listen and enjoy. Have a private cruise in the Carribean.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Awesome Video
This video gives a true parrothead a look inside the real Jimmy from 1973 on. No its not a award winning video, but for parrotheads it gives them a chance to hear Jimmy's personal views on the songs, see just how laid back and funny he truely is.
Its not a video full of favorites, but it is definately worth watching.
