Editorial Review:

Amazon.com:
Mannequin is notionally a romantic comedy in which Andrew McCarthy plays a luckless department-store employee and Kim Cattrall (Sex and the City) is an Egyptian princess reincarnated as a shop-window dummy, who comes to life when she encounters McCarthy, only to revert to mannequin status when anyone else is watching her. With her encouragement, he becomes emboldened in his career as a window decorator as well as falling in love with the princess. James Spader's oily, stammering executive is just one of the many examples of a film that tries way too hard to be funny, the sort of characterization that would be barely adequate for a TV commercial, let alone a 90-minute movie. Still, for fans of Sex and the City who might want to feast upon the spectacle of a younger Kim Cattrall, Mannequin might offer a measure of relief. --David Stubbs

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Two for the price of one!
I grew up watching these movies and this by far is one of my favorites from my childhood. I had no idea they had a part 2 though. It does not have the same actors, nonetheless I love it! The love story in this is so wonderful, you can't help but to sigh! I love this film it really sweeps me back to the 90's. I definately recommend this film. It's a must see for all those love struck teenagers. It doesn't have the high tech graphics but it has that wonderful feeling and the actors are marvelous!

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Embarrassing
This movie is little more than an embarrassing reminder about everything that was wrong with the '80s. Bad acting, horrible clothes, corny music, and a lame script do not complement each other in a positive way.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Mannequin
I thought they never would put out Mannequin2 on DVD, then it came in a set. The first one is great about a mannequin coming to life at nights and falling in love with the male window dresser. The second one has a different actress and leading man... not as good.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great deal!!
Great buy-two movies for the price of one. Both movies are cute and funny with a touch of real romance!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I just love the 80s romantic comedies. This one does the job!
Ever since I saw the first Mannequin movie, I know that I got to have this in my collection someday. That was more than 15 years ago. I just bought this two-pack DVD of Mannequin 1 and 2 and that is a great find for me. I cannot tell you which on of the two is my favorite but I think that part one has a slight umph to it. And for the $7.50 price that I pay in Amazon, I would be crazy to pass it up.
