The Shawn Lane videos are useful for intermediate to advanced players. There are many good suggestions as well as examples of exercises in both tapes. I especially enjoy the performance sequences and wish that players like Shawn, Steve Morse, Al DiMeola and others would put out performance videos.
Rating: - Great sequel! Shawn Lane's Power Demo.
This is the second part of Shawn Lane's Power Licks. It's simply powerful. Please don't expect you can follow the video, however. But it is very inspirational, let you open the door to other ways of surfing your fretboard.

although this video has a companion volume not mentioned in the previous review,i will say that it will thrill andrei tarkovsky fans and robert bresson devotees alike
Rating: - Great video of an amazing guitarist. Not very instuctional.
It shows shawn lane playing his best licks, these are very amazing to watch. Guitar players will enjoy watching this, but I don't believe novice players will get much out of it, except inspiration. He plays things few guitar players will ever dream about playing. I gave it four stars because I wasn't looking for an instructional video.
