I had been trying to get a 630b Vornado fan from ebay for a few weeks, but every time I got outbid at the last second. I decided to go elsewhere for a deal and I thought I got it when I purchased this one from Amazon. It does not make any rattling noise like the other reviewer said. The only time it did was when I did not screw in the blades properly. I have never assembled a fan before so I think some better directions should have been included. Purchase exact duplicate of this Vornado Oscillating floor fan over 10 years ago and loved it ever since. Old fan works quietly, efficiently, is easy to clean and looks almost new although we use it every summer. Unfortunately, when we purchase the same model fan via Amazon, the fan vibrated continuously, making noise. We had to return the fan and refrained from purchasing another one from the seller. The fan shipped to us should never have left the factory. It should have been checked for flaws in operation. Apparently that was never done hence our conclusion that Vornado is not producing ...
