Product Description: Vornado CR1-0061-17 60th Anniversary Model Vintage Air Circulator Fan, CR1006117, Vornado VF20 1940's Replica Air Circulator
Amazon.com Review: In the hot summer months, fans are necessary for homes without central air conditioning, although they usually don't go with the décor of most formal rooms. This hip 1940s tabletop fan, however, adds a little retro flair to a contemporary living room and is stylish enough to leave out all year round. Reproduced in honor of Vornado's 60th anniversary, this replica comes in its original gray-green color and features a classic streamlined design with rounded twin injector cones mounted on a rotating stand that allows vertical or horizontal positioning. The VF20 offers three different motor speeds, which can be set to the desired level of air flow. The single propeller is deep-pitched to deliver a higher velocity of air than shallower blades and to provide more thorough circulation throughout a room. The motor is permanently lubricated and never requires oiling. However, the grill and base need occasional cleaning with a damp cloth and mild dishwashing soap. This mid-20th-century-style fan is covered by a limited five-year warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

Rating: - I'm a big fan of this little fan
I bought this fan to replace a Patton Air Circulator fan. While this Vornado is smooth, mostly metal, and looks really cool, it does not move as much air as a big Patton fan.
However, Patton fans are now made in China, and they are terrible. This Vornado runs smoothly, like the fan has been balanced, and on its high setting is comparable to a Patton fan.
I like this fan a lot. Cool retro styling, smooth operation, almost silent on its low setting. I recommend it.
Rating: - I have the Original
I have an original of this fan. The replica looks EXACTLY like the original. By the way, mine still works GREAT, so if the redux works as well for as long, the value is there, even at the price.
Rating: - Cool Look...Loud Sound
This fan is really cool looking. I love the green color. I agree with the other reviewers regarding the plastic at the base. Furthermore the fan blades are plastic as well. I feel it does not push enough air (ie it should have a higher setting). I also wish the cord was attached to the base instead of the fan itself as it is less attractive. It should also have a handle to help in carrying it. The high setting to me is too loud. I have fans that push more air (allaire bought from Restoration Hardware) that are much quieter and cost the same.
Rating: - Look Great, Sounds Terrible
Love the looks and air movement - but it is not quiet. Within 2-3 weeks started with a low rumble that sounds like bearings going bad. Worst when the fan is horizontal - which is ho you'd like it most of the time.
Rating: - almost perfect
The first one i received had a noisy motor. But, as always Amazon was quick with the return. The second one is quiet and works great. There are a few things that were overlooked in the design. First, the original had a small handle to pick it up by. Also, The cord and control is on the back of the motor. The original model had the cord and control on the base, which is cleaner looking and easier to use. Lastly, I agree with other reviewers that the plastic emblem is cheap looking. The entire fan is metal. Except the blade and cheesy emblem. They made one improvement over the original, the ... Read More
