Amazon.com Review: By projecting a tight "beam" of air across a room, this lightweight, portable heater gently blankets the entire room in warmth. The vortex-action beam forces air towards the room's perimeter, thus heating the entire room, floor to ceiling, wall to wall. Quiet and compact, the heater measures just 12 inches high, 12 inches wide, and 10 inches deep. Two heat outputs (1,500 watts on high, 750 watts on low) and a variable heat control provide precise temperature control. Two fan settings permit a choice of continuous action or cycling on and off with the heating element, which is controlled by a thermostat that automatically turns the heater on and off to maintain a selected temperature. All controls are mounted on the heater's top for easy access.

We've gone through a couple heaters for my daughter's room and I should have just bought this one to start with. It is high quality, stable, quiet, and it just works well. The others are junk compared to this.

I've gone through many space heaters. This is the best one. It's extremely quiet _ I can barely hear it run..yet it blows a lot of heat and heats my room up pretty quickly. I love this heater!
Rating: - "OVER" HEATER
The VH2 I purchased almost burned down my house. The fan quit working but the heating element did not. After smelling something burning, I found the smoking heater, the heating element was red hot. The saftey devices failed to shut it down. Warrenty does not cover shipping, which is about $40.00. For that much money, I will buy a name brand heater that I can trust and who's maker stands behing the product. Vornado does not.

The heater did not heat the area desired, it was like the heater was on the low setting constantly.
Rating: - Faulty thermostat
This product produces enough heat to keep me warm and toasty. In fact, the manual says for the user to start the heater on "6" (highest setting) and then gradually lower it to a cooler temperature later. This cured my problem when I thought it just wasn't producing any heat. Unfortunately for me, the thermostat seems to be poorly programmed and the heater and fan will constantly flicker on and off as if it detects the heat as too high for one second, then too low the next.
