Melamine is a tough, break-resistant material that not only stands up to steak knives and brick patios, but looks modern in its simplicity. The Park pattern starts with white-whether the inside of tumblers or the surface of plates-and saturates the outside with six bright colors: yellow, orange, hot pink, cobalt blue, sky blue, and green. The six dinner plates in this set display one of each color to coordinate gaily with the matching salad plates and bowls. All the pieces are lightweight and elegantly thin, not clunky in the least.
