Amazon.com Review: With its air pump dispenser and touchpad controls, the Micom electric air pot from Zojirushi keeps hot water conveniently at the ready in your home or workspace. The pot’s micro-computerized temperature system regulates heat precisely, first boiling water then keeping it at a steady 208 degrees F for future use. To get water back up to maximum temperature, you just hit the convenient re-boil button. A dechlorinating feature reduces chlorine and musty odors in tap water, and a descaling feature cleans the nonstick interior. A simple lock on the lid helps protect hands, and automatic shut-off prevents boiling dry or overheating. With its 3-liter capacity, the pot takes 29 minutes to boil if you fill it all the way. That’s no speed record, but the all-day convenience does redeem the initial wait. Helpful details include a water-level gauge, a swivel base, a basket-style handle, a removable power cord, and function indicator lights. --Emily Bedard

Rating: - Really useful
This is a splurge item, but a practical one. Having easy access to hot water for quick drinks or anything that you'd have to boil water for is really nice.
Maintains a good constant heat and dispenses it safely.
Rating: - Boiler / electric thermos is time saving
I was leery of ordering an expensive item without seeing it first, even
though it was recommended to me.
The price was definitely cheaper than the store and am glad I looked
around.
It's a great appliance to have when you want hot water for your tea,
coffee, etc, without having to wait and has a swivel base, too.
Rating: - 30 minutes to boil water!!!!!!!!!
I researched extensively and although those around me thought I was crazy to spend $100.00 to boil water, I wanted the best for my new French Press. Imagine my dismay, when I opened my Electric Air Pot today, and read that it takes 30 minutes to boil water!!!!!!! Why not 60 minutes or 2 hours? This "inexpensive" model (almost $100.00) doesn't even have a timer so I can't set it to be ready when I wake. I hate returning things but I can't keep this on principal alone. I'm sure this is a great product once you get the water up to temperature, although the top is very loose and wobbly at the ... Read More
Rating: - I had some concerns and now I love this thing
I bought the electric air pot to address a number of issues that needed attention: I wanted to minimize the use of the microwave as much as possible, and I wanted to replace a diet soda pop habit with more healthful drinks. I had an electric kettle, but it was plastic and could not keep water warm throughout the day. I used to have a regular kettle, but I have lupus with some cognitive issues, and that kind of forgetfulness just doesn't mix too well with stove top cooking. I trashed two regular kettles before I got that one through my head.
After getting this product, I am wondering ... Read More
Rating: - Fantastic device/invention
I ordered this product for work when one of our employees informed me that in the Asian culture (he is from Taiwan), tea pots such as this one are commonplace. Before we bought this pot, our employees used to heat water using a hotpot, which did not hold much water. Now, they fill the pot with 3 liters of water, and anytime they want a cup of tea, they simply press the top and dispense the water. The liquid stays hot all day. I find this device an incredible invention (although I now know people have been using it for years). For anyone who drinks tea (or needs hot water for soups, rice, etc) and does ... Read More
