Having been won over completely by this beautifully executed and poignant romance, I returned from the USA determined that everyone I knew should share in my experience. Alas, inexplicably it is not to be found at UK cinemas nor at Amazon.co.uk to purchase on video. This is a dreadful loss to British film makers and goers alike. Breathing Room is a fine stateside example of the localised, smaller budget movies that the UK film industry is so famed for.

Rating: - NEWSFLASH! Hollywood Finally Gets Real With Love!
I saw this movie twice in two days, and both times it was hard to watch certain scenes. There was pathos, humour, and sometimes downright pain. Both lead characters manage to give a surprising depth to what could've been a very trite and hackneyed film. It is easy to identify with the feelings and actions of these people, and if you're looking for a film about relationships that doesn't spoon feed you, this movie will satisfy.
