Wow, I absolutely love this garbage can. Weird, huh? But I never liked the step cans because they always break, and the prices for the "upscale" step models are ridiculously priced. This looks nice and sleek and really works! Very cool and really nice. You do have to wait a beat so the electronic eye sees you, but it really helps, especially if you are cooking and don't want to get yucky from touching the garbage can lid. It takes 4 D batteries, but they seem to last a few months with regular use, and best to get rechargeable batteries for this.

Trashcan redefined. Opens and shuts automatically. Batteries last for ever (I bought this one as a gift. I am using the 13 gallon model and the 4 D batteries in that one have been working tirelessly for a year and a half). No-brainer.
