Rating: - Gotta have them & change regularly
Amamzon offers the best price I've found. These wicks do need to be changed during the season. When they become stiff from the residuals left behind from water evaporation they are less effective

Rating: - work well but too expensive
Vornado humidifiers work great, but our wicks need changing every 2-3 weeks. They get really stinky (bacteria smell) if they stay in longer and using the bacteriostat makes the water bubble and leak out the sides of the unit. The reason I've only given the wicks 3 stars is that they're too expensive and getting more expensive. I used to be able to get them at a local store for about $8 or $9 each, but nobody stocks them any more and to get the free shipping from Amazon, you have to buy them from the Amazon store (not one of their partners) where currently they are selling for $14.99 each. That's $30 worth of filters every month.... I just can't afford that.

Rating: - Real Filters Quickly and Efficiently
When I read the review from Carl in Chicago, I worried about if I was getting real filters or fakes. When I opened the box I was pleased to find real Vornado filters. At $10 a box, I find it a good deal. You may be able to find them cheaper elsewhere, but, you know what, my time NOT having to find a retailer is well worth the couple bucks I would save by looking all over the place.

The reviews you show are from 2003 (which is when I bought from you)!. You are currently showing wicks not boxed - which means not regular Vornados. These are substitute wicks - which may be as good and may not be! Also your price for these in 2003 was considerably better, $7.99 per box of 2 versus now 14.99!! Quite a difference. C. Mestrovic
