Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The only one without a whistle
It's hard for me to imagine why a person who wants a whistle would buy this one, since it is pretty much the only kettle on the planet that doesn't have one. Which is precisely why I bought it.

Doesn't drip, holds plenty of water for me. My only slight problems are the "flimsy" feel of the bottom -- and the many little grooves and such that are down there. I had a kettle (also Copco) that was completely smooth on the bottom with no seams (like a big cup) -- this made it a lot easier to dry. With this one, I have to just put it upside down in the dish rack for a while. If I think of it, I will empty the water, remove the top, and leave it on the still-warm burner so that the rest of the water will evaporate more quickly. When I first got it, I kind of messed up and left it on a very low burner (empty) to dry it, but I forgot it for a couple hours. Oops. Well, the bottom is still solid but it's pretty tarnished and I can tell that if I do this again, it's bye-bye kettle.

The shiny exterior that is so blindingly lovely when you first open it can be maintained with a little Bar Keepers Friend. But I don't do this very often.

The handle is fine -- I like that it's stable, and it doesn't get hot. If the kettle is hot, I still use a potholder or dishtowel to remove the lid because the knob is just too close to the metal, and you have sort of pry the top off, so it's likely that you'll burn yourself if you're not careful.

Made in China.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - No Whistle and No Drips
I just got it and I really like this kettle. It looks good and it works just fine. I did not want a whistle and like someone else said, you can hear when the water starts to boil and then it quiets down. There is no dripping either. The lid fits really tight and it has a nice wide bottom. It's larger than I expected and that mirror shine finish is gorgeous. I recommend that you empty and dry thoroughly if you're not using it instead of letting water just sit in it overnight so it will last longer and not get that crusty metallic taste inside; just a suggestion.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Not really 2.5 quarts
This kettle is well made, extremely well finished, pours easily as it is well balanced and with the very wide base heated rapidly. It should get a five star rating except for one issue. There is a Fill line about 1/4 inch below the opening of the spout. Obviously if your water is at a roiling boil and the water level is higher than that mark, the chance of bubbling out the spout increases as does the possibility of a burn from scalding water. However if you only fill it to the Fill line, the capacity of this seemingly very large kettle is only 1.5 quarts. I was sufficiently surprised that I filled and poured the water into a quart measuring cup three times to make sure of my accuracy. It was a bit of a disappointment. If you need a tea kettle of a real 2.5 quart capacity this one isn't for you.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Wonderful!
Okay, I confess that I just got my new kettle and have only used it a couple of times but I love it already. On my gas stove it heats quickly, no mind-blowing whistle and it pours without dribbling all over the counter. Oh, and it's so pretty! The handle does a good job of insulating from heat but it gives just a little with weight of the water. I think someone with less physical strength in their hands might have a difficult time but that would be easily solved by not filling the kettle quite so full. It's perfect for me.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Needs a whistle
This is a beautiful tea kettle and heats up quickly. The only downside
is that it doesn't whistle. For some it's probably not a problem but
for me it would be a great reminder that the water is ready!
