When I first purchased this fan, it was great for my needs. I had it sitting on my desk and it shot out just enough air to cool my face. I found no difference between the two speeds, I just always kept it on high. I purchased this fan in April, by the 1st of November it was completely dead. Nothing. I would not buy this product again.

Rating: - Good little cubicle fan
I needed a good little fan for my cubicle, emphasis on little. On the lower of the two speeds, the fan puts out a nice little breeze if it is pointed right at you and is pretty much silent. If you want to move a lot of air, this is probably not the fan for you. I think that this item delivers well on its promise of style, size and function. I would definitely buy again.

Rating: - Great little desk fan
I bought this in spite of a handful of negative reviews up here, and I'm posting to provide a counterpoint.

The Zippi is a great little desk fan that, while nearly silent, moves a surprising amount of air. I actually put it down on the low setting because too much air in my face gets annoying. The Zippi is perfect for those of us who work in climate-controlled offices that are a little too climate-controlled in favor of the ladies who need everything uncomfortably warm. It provides just the right amount of personal airflow. No more, no less.

Anyone buying this thinking it's going to cool more than their face and torso is sadly looking for something else. Like, maybe, something bigger and noisier.

Great for offices/apartments ... bad for cooling large rooms in the Cayman Islands in Summer with no air conditioner. It's made by Vornado and has excellent build quality. I'd buy another if I had two faces.

Rating: - the little fan that could
This fan is great. The other reviewers that gave it a bad review must have got a bad one or something. Be aware of what type of fan this is. This is a PERSONAL fan, and as such it really works great. That means it is for cooling ONE person, at a desk, bedside, or where ever. As such it really does the job. I mean, it can really get me cold, even on low. It blows plenty hard, and is so very very quiet. It does not cool the room or more than one person because it is too small for that. My wife is sensitive to noises when trying to sleep, but I like a fan on me at times. This is THE ANSWER to my problem.

Rating: - Ultimate desktop fan
I just threw out my old desk fan I bought in brookstone for $50 bucks. Why? it makes the old fan sound like a vacuum cleaner in comparison. This fan is whisper quiet. Now I can sleep without even noticing its on.

Pls note that this fan produce light breeze NOT STRONG WIND. Its feels like u are using a post card to fan yourself.

Love the design and i dun have to dismantle to clean. Easy to maintain.
