Vornado is my one of my favorite fan manufacturers. But, this fan is just for cute. It's near silent on its low speed and produces a breeze that can be felt on high speed. If you want a desk fan that really performs, purchase a Caframo. Vornado's larger models are real performers.

Rating: - So-So
This fan does its job, but the one I got seems to be slightly un-balanced. On the low setting it is just about silent. However on the higher setting, it seems to vibrate a bit.

Other than that minor complaint, this fan is a good fan. It folds up when not in use into a very small package, which makes it convenient for storing.

It also blows a good amount of air for having fabric blades.

Rating: - adequate personal space fan
I got this little fan today and it was a little heavier than I expected since it was described as a size of an apple on some webpage. I have it sitting about 2.5 feet from me and on low and it's a pleasant breeze also whisper quiet. If you read the little instruction sheet that came with the fan it does say in ink that you should put it directly on the person for usage of this fan so I'm not sure where people are thinking that this dinky little fan can cool off a room. Do you expect those small desktop fans to cool off a room? why would you expect this one to?

pros: quiet, small, travel friendly, blades don't hurt at all
con: the switch for speed and on/off is behind the fan, not as a separate knob but part of the unit so it makes it hard to turn the switch without having to move the whole unit.

Rating: - Vornado Fan
Perfect size, both of the fan speeds are useful at different times. What else is there to say? It's a cool looking fan that sores easily into small places, and feels good at night next to the bed, or in my office on a hot day.

Rating: - Great Desktop Fan
This is a great little fan that is very quiet. Although it just has two speeds, I find that the lowest speed puts out plenty of cool air. It is extremely quiet. Although the blades are cloth, they can still sting if they hit your hand so be sure to keep kids away from them.
